The fact that this knowledge was meant to be spread to the nations is seen through the way that Deity and his prophets spoke to and about the nations. Here are some scriptural examples.
(14) For in this time I shall send all My plagues to your heart, and upon your servants, and upon your people, so that you may know that there is none like Me in all the earth. (15) For now I could have stretched out My hand, and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been obliterated from the earth. (16) However, for this reason I have made you to stand, to show you My power, and that My name may be recounted throughout all the earth. (Exodus 9:14-16)
For from the rising of the sun even to its going [down], My name is great among the nations; and in every place incense is being presented to My name, and a pure free-will [offering]; for My name is great among the nations, said YHWH of hosts. (Malachi 1:11)
I would also recommend that you read the whole of Jeremiah 10. Although it is a message to Israel not to learn the ways of the nations, it shows us how the Almighty views idolatry and it also contains a message for nations who knew Aramaic. Part of verse 11 is written in Aramaic, which says, "The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, these shall perish from the earth, and from under the heavens." The chapter relates an example of the vanity of worshipping false deities. It is written in a way that gives it universal scope, even if it is a message to Israel.
These verses and passages, amongst other, show that the knowledge of Yahweh is meant to spread across the entire globe, and it is not restricted to just Israelites. The whole world is supposed to know who Yahweh is, and "know" in an active way, not just an intellectual way; to "know" not in the way that a person who smokes knows that smoking is bad for them, but in the way that a person will avoid smoking altogether knowing its harmful effects. This knowledge impacts in a right manner how one acts in relation to the facts. This is a universal knowledge.
